Pinnacle Polymers, LLC, a privately-owned polypropylene manufacturing facility, has an opening for a Senior Account Manager / Outside Sales Representative.

 

The Sales Account Manager represents Pinnacle Polymers, LLC with customers, planning and directing sales activities both with existing and prospective accounts.  Consistent with Pinnacle’s commercial objectives, position products at the highest possible value combined with the appropriate volume levels contributing on a long term sustainable basis. This position upholds Pinnacle Polymers' Core Values: Safety First Always, People, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Sustainability, in addition to the following responsibilities: 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and maintain lasting customer relationships; both existing customers and new prospects
  • Maintaining customer account records and activities in CRM
  • Promote and sell Pinnacle Polymer’s polypropylene products to direct customers
  • Work collaboratively with other commercial team personnel to develop sales contracts and maximize profitability
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences
  • Represent Pinnacle Polymers at all business events as well as with customers
  • Conduct pre-call planning for customer visits including preparation of support materials needed to achieve customer-specific objectives
  • Participate and complete tasks such as forecasting, pricing, new customer forms, contracts, etc.
  • Actively participate in projects that support objectives for Pinnacle and Beaulieu International Group
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the plastics industry; polypropylene experience preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of personal computers utilizing Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to be self-motivated to achieve personal and company goals
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, effective problem-solving skills, and good communication skills with individuals internal and external to the organization
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Must be willing and able to safely, effectively and efficiently carry out written and verbal job-related instructions, and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a group. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Travel of 50% or more is required; including international travel
  • Working remotely out of personal house
  • This role is regularly required to talk, see and hear, and perform repetitive motions
  • Tasks require long periods of sitting and standing
  • Tasks require occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting
  • Regularly required to use hands to touch, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Requires regular use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, and scanner/copier)
  • Travel to Production Plant environment with controlled climate as well as outside elements
  • Moderate noises (business office with computer and printers, light traffic or manufacturing facility with heavy machinery)

 

Requirements:  

  • B.S. degree in Sales Management, Marketing, Business Management or Engineering degree’s with a business emphasis
  • 10 years of field sales experience in the plastics industry or complementary sales field
  • Position requires frequent travel away from home, customer entertainment and industry event attendance
  • Geographical Location: Preference will be given to qualified candidates located in OH, GA, PA, TX, or DE
  • Motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative and strong problem solving skills
  • Experience in sales and product qualifying process and contract negotiations
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver license, car insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
