R&D Project Manager

To accomplish this, our Fibres Division is seeking an R&D Project Manager who can develop groundbreaking products, services and processes to meet our sustainability and business objectives.

Primary responsibilities and key tasks:

• Identify and define customer requirements, thoroughly analyzing their specific needs.
• Develop and design innovative processes, products and solutions.
• Conduct functional tests on models, processes or prototypes, including trials, laboratory tests, pilot workshops and pre-production runs.
• Prepare and facilitate industrialization processes.
• Manage the execution of projects as the project manager, ensuring adherence to schedules, resource allocation and budgets.
• Oversee and coordinate the efforts of both internal and external collaborators, including partnerships with laboratories and external authorities.
• Lead steering committees during project launch phases, setting objectives, planning, prioritizing actions, anddefining completion deadlines. Also, manage project follow-up phases, including progress reports, projectreviews and compliance with budgets and deadlines.
• Document and prepare patent applications, handling industrial property in-house or with the support of aspecialist firm.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance and training to various project stakeholders, especially during optimization or the implementation of new processes or products.

Key qualifications and skills:

• Hold a MSc or Ph.D. in chemistry or sustainable materials engineering or possess equivalent experience.
• Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in R&D projects.
• Having experience in the non-woven industry is a big plus.
• Demonstrate a result-driven and ambitious approach.
• Be an effective communicator who values teamwork.
