Main Responsibilities

• Identify and validate market needs through research and data analysis in close collaboration with Project Managers and Business Development Specialists. 
• Develop innovative concepts and set up thorough experimental frameworks to evaluate feasibility and effectiveness.
• Plan and execute structured innovation projects, ensuring clear objectives, timelines and deliverables.
• Design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data and interpret results to refine and iterate solutions.
• Develop and prototype new products, materials or processes in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Clearly document findings, create structured reports and present results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with R&D, business teams and external partners to drive innovation initiatives forward.

Competences and Skills

• MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymers, or Textile Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to structure and quantify complex problems.
• Innovative and creative thinker with a strong curiosity to explore new ideas.
• Experience in setting up and executing thorough experimental setups.
• Proactive and self-driven with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable working in an international environment and willing to travel within Europe.

Languages

Proficient in English, with knowledge of Dutch or French being an advantage.
