Commercial Controller Fibres


As Commercial Controller Fibres, you take ownership of the financial and commercial insights that support performance, profitability, and sustainable growth across our Fibres division. You work in an international environment with approximately EUR 300 million in revenue in Belgium, Austria, Italy, and a joint venture in Saudi Arabia. By combining strong analytical skills with business understanding, you help shape value that lasts.
 
What will you do?
  • Analyze commercial performance across volume, revenue, sales prices, product mix, customer mix, regions, market segments, sales channels, and contribution margins.
  • Monitor sales margins, identify deviations, and discuss risks and opportunities with Sales, Finance, and the General Manager.
  • Explain variances versus budget, forecast, prior year, and standard cost, and translate findings into clear conclusions and recommendations.
  • Support pricing decisions through analyses of price levels, margin impact, raw material developments, customer agreements, discounts, and commercial initiatives.
  • Analyze commercial costs, including transportation costs, rebates, commissions, claims, bonuses, and sales-related accruals.
  • Coordinate the annual sales budget and periodic sales forecasting process.
  • Develop and improve commercial reporting, dashboards, and analyses for Sales, Controlling, and divisional management.
  • Spend approximately 25% of your time on strategic projects such as margin improvement, commercial process optimization, pricing governance, business cases, integration projects, and performance improvement initiatives.


Who are you?

  • You hold a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years experience in Controlling, External Audit or FP&A, preferably within an industrial or international manufacturing environment.
  • You are an advanced Excel user and have experience with Power BI. 
  • You combine strong analytical skills with a business-oriented mindset and can translate financial insights into concrete actions.
  • You work in a structured and accurate way, take ownership, build trust with stakeholders, and confidently challenge decisions based on facts.
  • You can explain complex analyses clearly to non-financial stakeholders and present recommendations in a convincing and accessible manner.
