Senior Real Estate Development Manager

A new challenge?

To enhance our growth we are looking for a dynamic new colleague who can manage the development, implementation, enhancement and administration of our Corporate Real Estate.
The position is based at global headquarters in Waregem, Belgium and reports to the Real Estate Committee.


Main responsibilities and key tasks 

  • Develop (and execute) a strategy in agreement with the Real estate committee/board for the existing real estate portfolio within the group.
  • Establish an investment plan (approach of financial structure, cash flow, risk analysis, …) for the future and converting financial consequences of various possibilities/ challenges into a financial model in order to provide support to the strategic decision making process.
  • Professionally partner with key stakeholders (banks, other developers, government (municipalities – provinces)…).
  • Establish an annual budget (P1L and balance sheet) of your business (financing, operational costs, capex, …) and report monthly/quarterly to the real estate committee/board.
  • Develop and lead your own real estate team as required to fulfill the business targets.


Competencies and skills 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate management in international markets (as an internal corporate real estate professional, an external service provider or consultant).
  • Master’s degree in real estate, business, or finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing external partner relationships such as architects, engineers, appraisers, commercial brokers, environmental consultants and attorneys.
  • Working knowledge of lease documents, principles and practices relating to real estate transactions.
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial in evaluating market conditions, assessing options, and finding the best deals.
