As the Corporate HSE Manager for the B.I.G. sites in Belgium and France, you will partner up with local sites to implement and maintain effective safety, health, and environmental programs, improve SHE performance and compliance. You will collaborate with local SHE, site managers, senior leadership and other stakeholders. This role involves providing expert guidance and fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership:

  • Co-integrate our SHE strategies into our local operations with our local SHE teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and expert for SHE-related inquiries and issues for the local SHE and senior management.
  • Ensure alignment of SHE initiatives with corporate goals.
  • Represent sites on corporate level by raising their common needs.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive initiatives to improve the level of SHE maturity and compliance within our Belgium and France sites.
  • Increase awareness and understanding of SHE practices and responsibilities.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by local sites and inspire though sharing best practices.

Compliance and risk management

  • Monitor compliance issues and support to develop mitigation plans to address identified risks.

 

You will be reporting to the SHE Director.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a SHE  professional, in an industrial environment, preferably in supporting multiple sites.
  • Certification in safety management and environmental management is preferred.
  • Charismatic and diplomatic, able to convey a coherent vision and to positively engage people.
  • Pragmatic teamplayer, good at collaborating, motivating and inspiring your colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in Dutch, English and French.
  • Regular visits with  occasional travel to various company sites in Belgium & France.
