Group Energy Expert

A new challenge?

The Group Energy Expert plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s sustainability initiatives by reducing consumption, transitioning towards lower carbon emission sources and optimizing energy supply and demand. You will be able to focus on plenty of renewable energy projects, and spearheading energy reduction strategies in alignment with B.I.G.'s sustainability goals and energy transition roadmap. Your role as Group Energy Expert within Beaulieu focuses on 4 domains:

1. Energy Demand
   • Conduct energy audits to focus on energy optimizations
   • Monitor energy reductions in the facilities and focus on energy reduction plans
   • Assess technical aspects of industrial electrification, EV charging, and other green energy projects
2. Energy Supply:
   • Identify & assess opportunities for sustainable energy supply improvements
   • Coordinate energy projects from inception to commissioning, taking risks into account
   • Implement and follow up on energy incentives with internal stakeholders
3. Energy Reporting
   • Develop an energy performance framework and monitor energy KPI's worldwide
4. Energy know-how
   • Communicate with energy stakeholders, focus on training and sharing best practices to reduce energy cost
   • Maintain up-to-date expertise by following seminars, scientific articles, … to search for implementation in our production sites

We are seeking someone with 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Electrical) Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. 
• Min. 3 to 5 years' experience in (renewable) energy management and projects
• Knowledge and experience in energy auditing and implementing reduction strategies.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to network across various production facilities.
• Proficiency in PowerBI (experience with MES is a plus).
• Fluently in English. Other languages are a plus
• Willigness to travel (up to 20%, mostly within Europe)
