Become our new R&D Process Technician BCF (extrusion)

Location : Industrial site in Comines Belgium (Plant Berry Yarns, a company of Beaulieu International Group) 


Main responsibilities and key tasks


  • Carry out necessary work such as new development projects to improve the company's process
  • Report to the Research and Development Manager
  • Carry out tests in pilote and production lines
  • Work in collaboration with the necessary departments for technical development and colour development (sample colors)
  • Leading all development projects in his/her area working in collaboration with the R&D Manager
  • Carry out individual tests in his/her area (product development and process improvement) together with the R&D Manager
  • Ensure the delivery of all project products, taking into account quality, customer service and cost requirements
  • Develop and analyze the production parameters and maintain them in the database
  • Consider process improvements
  • Improve the cost of processing 
  • Work according to internal safety and hygiene rules


Competencies and skills 


  • Hold a bachelor (bac+2) with a relevant experience (5 years) or a master's degree in engineering 
  • Preferably a few years of experience with R&D
  • Preferably a specialization in textiles or chemistry (polymers) or extrusion 
  • You are analytical, quality oriented and methodical
  • You are curious and open minded 
  • You like to work with precision, and with different interlocutors
  • Knowledge of the impact of the task on relevant environmental aspects (correct waste separation, chemical spill management, emergency plans)
  • Knowledge of the production process, procedures and machines



  • Fluency in French and English
  • Other languages (Dutch) are an asset
